On "beautiful grounds" that find room for an "attractive, well-kept" "Olympic-size pool", this "kitschy" "area landmark" "central" to wine country comes by its "interesting midcentury architecture" honestly (it was built in 1957); some snipe that it's less a "four-star resort" than "an upscale motor lodge" "clearly in need" of a "face-lift", citing "small, dated" rooms where the furniture is "shabby" and the bathrooms "low-end."

Loved parking/access to different wings, beautiful pool/hot tub area! Friendly service, discounts to wineries, provided wine maps, restaurant info etc.
Very convenient location but still not walking distance to downtown restaurants, cafes, etc.

Attractive layout.
Restaurant was closed at dinner forcing us to use bar to eat.

Aside from a minor computer glitch which slowed check-in, and the fact that the restaurant was not open for dinner (but it was open for breakfast), a very good stay.

Inside and outside entrance to the room.
No refrigerator or continental breakfast.

Quaint hotel from the 80's that has kept it's charm but has been updated with all of today's amenities. Inside and outside entrances to the room, 2 big comfortable beds, big TV, nice shower and lots of activities in hotel areas. ...read more

Room completely upgraded from my last experience. Very nice.
Parking was difficult-health club next door took all the spaces.

I have stayed in this hotel many times and I am happy to say it has come a long way from earlier days. It has undergone a comprehensive renovation and I am very pleased with the results. They have upgraded the beds, linens and decor. Even the entryways (which used to require 2 separate keys) have been upgraded to a key card for inside and outside doors. The front desk clerk was so friendly, providing a nice start to my stay. If I had known it was going to be so pleasant I would've opted for an additional night. Congrats to the management for their good work in trying to bring this hotel up to higher standards. ...read more

Outdoor hot tub.
Outdated, poor quality room.

Not a 3 1/2 star by any means. Room was kind of shabby, sheets not particularly nice quality. Our TV fizzed out and started to smoke and when we called the office rather than sending someone right up they said they would pass the message on the the maintenance man. No one apologized or offered us anything for the inconvenience. The only nice part of our stay was the pool and hot tub. ...read more

Easy access, centralized location, clean & comfortable.
The bartender at the bar on Friday night was rude & didn't appear to like his job. Everyone else was great!
